Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Kedar Jadhav will miss the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a shoulder injury. As a result, Jadhav will miss Chennai’s playoff games. However, there is confirmation about the magnitude of the injury and whether he will regain fitness in time for the ICC World Cup 2019 starting on May 30.

It was during Punjab’s innings, Kedar Jadhav picked up an injury. Jadhav sustained the injury while diving to save an overthrow at the boundary line in 14th over of Kings XI Punjab’s innings. He walked off the field clutching his left shoulder and didn’t return for the remainder of the chase, which KXIP sealed with two overs to spare.
Chennai Super Kings head coach, Stephen Fleming yesterday said that Kedar Jadhav will undergo scans today and now the franchise from their official Twitter handle have confirmed the news of Jadhav missing the rest of IPL 2019. They also wished him a speedy recovery with the World Cup in sight.

Kedar Jadhav didn’t have a good run in the ongoing IPL 2019. Batting in the middle order for the Chennai franchise, he could only manage to score 162 runs from 12 innings at a strike-rate of 95.86. His only half-century came against Mumbai Indians

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings sustained a four-wicket defeat against Kings XI Punjab in the last group game. Thus they finished second in the points table and will go up against Mumbai Indians in the qualifier game at the Visakhapatnam on May 7 (Tuesday).
