All the eyes are going to be on the Hyderabad’s pitch for the final contest of the Indian Premier League between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Hyderabad’s pitch curator YL Chandrasekhar Rao has stated that it going to be a good sporting track. Thus, we are expected to witness an even contest between bat and ball.

In fact, we have seen that the pitch always plays a key role in the outcome of the match. It is imperative to have a pitch which covers most of the bases. Consequently, it would be great if the final of the tournament will be played on a pitch which will have something in it for all the players.

It is going to be an even track.

Meanwhile, the average score while batting first at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium is 175. Hence, a good contest between two heavyweights of the Indian Premier League will be on the cards.

YL Chandrashekar Rao told TOI on Friday, “I want to succeed once again and we are working on the wicket and also the ground  meet the best of the standards”.

Rao also confirmed that they have two tracks ready for the final of the big event. Furthermore, they are also in the process of getting the third one ready. Hence, it would be interesting to note how the pitch will play on the big day.

“It’s going to be a good wicket. We already have two wickets ready and the third one is being readied,” the 62-year-old Chandrasekhar said.

Meanwhile, the two best teams of the IPL – Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians will take on each other to savour their fourth title in the tournament. Chennai and Mumbai had also finished at the top of the points table.

Both of these teams have played against each other on three occasions in the ongoing season and Mumbai has come on top on each time. Ergo, reigning champions Chennai Super Kings will like to turn the tables on 12th May.
