Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has hailed Mumbai Indians as the best T20 team in the world after their thumping win in the just-concluded IPL 2020 final. The Rohit Sharma-led side, on Tuesday, thrashed Delhi Capitals by five wickets to win the tournament.

Mumbai Indians are now the first team to win the tournament five times while no other team has won it more than thrice. The Mumbai-based outfit also became just the second team after Chennai Super Kings to retain the IPL title. No team has delivered as consistently as Mumbai Indians since 2013.

They had won their inaugural title in 2013 and have now added four more to the tally in just seven years. Mumbai Indians’ class was on display against Delhi as they won the game without much trouble.

Batting first, Delhi Capitals finished their innings on 156 for 7. They were reeling at 22 for 3 at one stage before fifties from skipper Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant helped them post a competitive total. However, it was not enough as Mumbai chased down the total inside 19 overs. Rohit Sharma led from the front and scored 68 off 51 balls.
