Indian Cricket Team would be backing themselves to outclass the mighty Aussies in the WTC 2021-23 final slated on 7th June at the Oval. A billion people would be hoping that skipper Rohit Sharma hits form. Rohit Sharma looked into all sorts of trouble in the recently concluded IPL 2023.

India would be banking on the lethal speedsters Mohammed Shami & Mohammed Siraj. It seems unlikely that the team will miss Jasprit Bumrah as the side has got the services of Shardul Thakur & Umesh Yadav who can fox the batter with their variations.

We don’t want a drawn game- Ricky Ponting

Ricky Ponting was having an interaction with Star Sports. Ricky Ponting wanted both sides to play a fearless brand of cricket and gave a piece of advice that the skippers Rohit Sharma & Pat Cummins should push for a result rather than a draw.

“The cricket world deserves to see an unbelievably good Test match with a result. We don’t want a drawn game. So I will tell both captains let’s go out there and play good hard aggressive Test match cricket and make sure there’s a result at the end,” said Ricky Ponting.

“Even if it means that you put yourself and the team on the line to potentially lose a game in order to win the game, then do it,” he added.

“The really refreshing way that I have seen Test cricket being played over the past couple of years is how England play, the win-at-all-cost approach. They have played Test cricket the best way it should be played. I think both captains in the final should show that Test cricket can be played aggressively.”
