Chennai Super Kings (CSK) veteran batter Ambati Rayudu got a farewell in a grand fashion. Ambati Rayudu had played a key role in attaining the target of 171 runs as he played a quick-fire knock of 19 runs in 8 balls and struck 2 sixes and 1 four.

There was absolute drama in the last over as at one stage it looked like Mohit Sharma will fox Ravindra Jadeja when CSK needed 10 runs to win from 2 balls, but the destructive batter held his nerve and took CSK over the finish line.

CSK showed they may be a ‘Dad’s Army’ but they can outclass any champion on the given day which is most important on the given day. CSK fans would be hoping that they haven’t seen the last of MS Dhoni who got out on a golden duck that too on the first ball.

Ambati Rayudu should have actually played 2019 World Cup – Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his YouTube channel and stated that Rayudu should have been the first choice for the 2019 WC. Aakash Chopra recalled his interaction with Ambat Rayudu during IPL 2019 and said that Rayudu should have a good IPL or else he would be dropped.

“Ambati Rayudu should have actually played the 2019 World Cup. I remember talking to him. It was a match in Chennai, an IPL game I think. We were talking on the pitch-side and I urged him to score runs. I told him an atmosphere has been created and it seems that he might be dropped, so he should have a good IPL,” said Aakash Chopra.

“He said what could be done as people are creating such an atmosphere and asked what wrong had he done. He was right, he had done nothing wrong but the atmosphere was getting created both from inside and outside that someone else was required other than Ambati who was dropped after that,” he added.

Ambati Rayudu is slightly temperamental – Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra said what it means for Rayudu to play for India. Surprisingly, Aakash Chopra said that Ambati Rayudu has got temperamental issues and the batter can’t hold back his emotions. Aakash Chopra though made it clear Rayudu played cricket with passion.

“Ambati Rayudu didn’t play the World Cup and you always found one thing – wears his heart on his sleeve. Ambati is always a guy who is the same from within and outside. He could get angry very quickly and might lose his temper as well but is pure gold from the heart,” said Aakash Chopra.

“He is slightly temperamental for sure and Dhoni said the same thing. He is not someone who is going to hold back his emotions. He was always up for a fight but with a great heart. A brilliant human being with a heart of gold. He played cricket with passion and got emotional at times,” he added.
