IPL Final: “MS Dhoni Played The Entire Season On One Leg” – Laxman Sivaramakrishnan

Former Indian spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan has hailed Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni for winning his fifth IPL title. LS, as he is popularly known in the cricket community said that the CSK skipper won the championship by playing on one leg in the entire season. 

MS Dhoni opted to have surgery on his left knee immediately after winning the IPL 2023 title. The operation was done at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai where the CSK skipper admitted himself on May 31.

CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed of MS Dhoni’s well-being after the surgery. “Yes, Dhoni has had a successful knee surgery at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday. He is doing fine and the surgery happened in the morning. I don’t have the details. I am yet to get all the details about the nature of the surgery and other things,” he confirmed to PTI.

MS Dhoni’s knee surgery was conducted by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, a sports medicine specialist who previously worked with Rishabh Pant on a similar problem. Sources close to CSK have revealed that the operation went well and the CSK skipper is fit.

Reacting to MS Dhoni’s successful surgery, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan hailed the legendary skipper for his grit and determination. He called him a warrior saying that the CSK skipper played the entire season on one leg and did not allow the pain to come in between his “clarity of thoughts”.

As per the latest reports, it is learnt that MS Dhoni has been discharged from the hospital after a keyhole surgery on his left knee. It is further known that the keyhole surgery was performed for “arthroscopic repair”.

MS Dhoni Would Rest For A Few Days At Home Before Extensive Rehabilitation: CSK Official

“He has already been discharged from hospital and he has gone back to Ranchi. He would be resting for a few days at home before his extensive rehabilitation starts. It is now expected that he would have enough time to get fit to play in the next IPL,” another source close to CSK management told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
