GT found a reliant left-handed batter in the form of Sai Sudharsan as the batter amassed 362 runs in 8 matches with a strike rate of 141.41 and a staggering average of 51.71 and struck 3 half-centuries. Sais Sudharsan showed that he can play the role of the anchor as well as the aggressor.

Hardik Pandya is a far more important batter than Vijay Shankar – Sanjay Manjrekar

Sanjay Manjrekar was having an interaction with ESPNcricinfo and stated that GT skipper Hardik Pandya was bowling a lot in the previous season and due to which his batting improved.

“Hardik Pandya has lost a bit of form. Just imagine had he batted in the last game, he would have carried whatever that match form or match time into this game as well. Because he is a far more important batter than Vijay Shankar,” said Sanjay Manjrekar.

“Just one question that comes to my mind, is Hardik Pandya a better batter when he is bowling as well? Last season he was bowling a lot, and that’s why his batting went to the next level,” he added.
