The 18th match of the IPL 2023 season is taking place on 13th April at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, where the Gujarat Titans are taking on Punjab Kings. Both teams currently have four points each, having won two out of their three games so far. However, their recent losses have exposed some weaknesses that they will need to address.

In their last game, the Punjab Kings struggled to put up a competitive total against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, with only Shikhar Dhawan offering any resistance with his unbeaten 99. Although the PBKS pacers started well, the SRH batsmen ultimately chased down the target with ease, winning by eight wickets.

Meanwhile, the Gujarat Titans played a thrilling game against the Kolkata Knight Riders in which they scored an impressive 204 runs while batting first. Despite taking out the openers early on, the Titans were unable to contain Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana, who kept KKR in the game. However, Rashid Khan’s hat trick gave the Titans a glimmer of hope before Rinku Singh’s five consecutive sixes sealed the game for KKR.

Both teams have a win each from their last IPL encounters. In the first game, the Titans chased down a target of 190 with six wickets in hand, thanks to Shubman Gill’s 96 and Rahul Tewatia’s heroics. In the second game, the Punjab Kings exacted revenge by chasing down 144 runs in just 16 overs, with Kagiso Rabada named man of the match for his four wickets.

As both teams look to bounce back from their recent losses and secure a crucial win, fans can expect an exciting game of cricket between these evenly matched sides with the likes of Hardik Pandya, Sai Sudharsan, and Rashid Khan in their ranks GT, will be eyeing their chances.
