Later, opener Rachin Ravindra scored 97 runs for New Zealand. Kane Williamson (54), Daryl Mitchell (59), and Mark Chapman (65) shattered half-centuries to lead the team to victory by 5 wickets. Pakistan bowlers emerged too costly as the Kiwis won the match within 44 overs.
South Africa was also scheduled to play a warm-up match against Afghanistan. However, the match was washed out due to rain. Hence, South Africa will test their skills ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023 with their last warm-up match against New Zealand.
