Steve Smith spoke to the ICC about what makes Australia the most consistent side in World Cups. Speaking about consistency, he said that it is something that the team has in its DNA.

“I am not sure I guess it’s on our DNA. I think the way we started in this tournament, we didn’t make a great start but we have been on a roll winning eight straight since then and we feel we are in a good place to take on India” said Smith.

The two teams are facing each other for the second time in the World Cup finals. The last time they played in the final was in 2003 when Ricky Ponting’s Australia defeated Sourav Ganguly’s India in a fairly one-sided contest in Johannesburg.
