Find That Really Disrespectful – Michael Vaughan

In a conversation with Cricbuzz, Michael Vaughan expressed his displeasure with the lack of respect shown to Babar Azam, referring to the leaked stories and the appointment of Shaheen Shah Afridi as captain as a disgrace.

“I just don’t like the lack of respect that Babar Azam has been shown. It’s a disgrace that these stories have been leaked and that Shaheen Shah Afridi is going to be the captain. Babar Azam is a wonderful player, world-class, and has been fantastic for Pakistan and the world game as well.”

“When you see these kinds of stories about captains during the World Cup, leave it till the end. At the end of the World Cup, you can think that he’s not the right person to take Pakistan forward as a captain. You’re allowed to make that decision. But during the World Cup and when the kind of gossip is coming from your board and people within Pakistan cricket, I find that really disrespectful,” Michael Vaughan said.
