Veteran commentator Harsha Bhogle has created a stir on social media with his latest remarks on Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma has again provided a flying start to the Indian innings and scored a quickfire 47 off 29 balls.

In the middle of an over Rohit hit Boult for a brilliant pull shot and after that commentator Harsha Bhogle was heard speaking something hilarious on the mic. The Indian skipper provided a perfect powerplay start to India’s innings against New Zealand in the semi-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Harsha Bhogle was heard saying “Hold my Vada Pav maybe” as Rohit Sharma has always been linked with Vada Pav which is a famous Maharashtrian snack. Rohit Sharma has mentioned on numerous occasions that Vada Pav is his favourite snack and Harsha Bhogle was referring to this while he mentioned the snack while commentating on the World Cup semi-final between India and New Zealand.

Rohit Sharma has scored 550 runs in ten innings in this World Cup and has become the only player to score more than 550 runs in consecutive ODI World Cups. He was the top run-getter in the 2019 World Cup where he scored 648 runs in nine innings. Rohit has also surpassed Chris Gayle’s record of hitting the most sixes in the World Cup and now has amassed 51 maximums in ODI World Cup matches.

Rohit Sharma has given a flying start to the Indian innings almost every time he has come to bat and his innings make sure that the middle order is not under any pressure of scoreboard when they come on to bat. With just one century and three half-centuries, he still has amassed over 550 runs which is an example of the kind of cricket he is playing.

India is batting first at the Wankhede against New Zealand and they are looking good after the first few overs. They are looking to avenge the heart-wrenching defeat they suffered against the Kiwis in the 2019 World Cup semi-finals. However, New Zealand is not an easy team to beat given their form and the return of their main man Kane Williamson.
