Rohit Sharma Bats On A Different Level – Yuvraj Singh

In a conversation with Sports Talk, Yuvraj Singh attributed Rohit Sharma’s success, especially in white-ball cricket, to his dedication to team priorities. Yuvraj emphasized that Rohit has the ability to play big innings in ODI cricket.

“Rohit Sharma bats on a different level. If he plays 40 balls, he’ll score 7-80 runs. If he plays 100 balls, he might score a double hundred. Rohit Sharma is a team player, he’s always been a team player. For him, the team always comes first. That’s the reason he’s been so successful, especially in white-ball cricket,” Yuvraj told Sports Tak.

Rohit Sharma has been a standout performer for India in the power play, scoring 550 runs in 10 matches at an average of 55 and a strike rate of 124.15. He consistently puts pressure on the opposition bowlers, unsettling their line and length with his aggressive approach.

“The good thing about Rohit is that he’s a very good captain under pressure. He’s gained a lot of experience with the five IPL titles that he’s won. He knows when and how to use his bowlers,” Yuvraj added.

The World Cup final is scheduled between hosts India and five-time champions Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19. India has an opportunity to avenge their 2003 World Cup final loss to Australia in South Africa.
