Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra shared his verdict on the final of the ICC World Cup 2023 between India and Australia. He made a bold remark, saying that it’ll be a one-sided affair if the Rohit Sharma-led side opt to bat first.

India and Australia will be up against each other in the final of the ICC World Cup 2023. The match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 19th November (Sunday). It promises to be an enthralling contest as both the teams have played a magnificently brand of cricket and have entertained the crowd big time.

India will be entering the game on the back of 10 consecutive wins in the tournament whereas Australia have won 8 games on trot. With conditions and crowd in their favor and with the way they have played throughout the tournament, it’s fair to say that Men in Blue will be favorites to win the game.

The pressure for both teams will be high and the margin of error will be very low. For India, it’ll be a great opportunity to end their ICC title drought and lift their first Trophy after 2013. Australia on the other hand are used to playing finals and they will know what to do exactly.

Aakash Chopra believes that Australia’s fate will be dependent on individual performance. He said that one among David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, and Glenn Maxwell must have a sensational outing if Men in Yellow have to fancy their chances of winning. Taking to his X account, be explained:

“Tomorrow, Australia fate will be relying on ‘individual brilliance’ with the bat. Hoping for one between Warner-Marsh-Maxwell to have the night of their lives. And that too…if Australia gets to bat first. If India bats first, I’m expecting a one-sided game in India’s favour.”

IND vs AUS: As a captain, he’s going to leave behind a legacy that everyone will remember – Aakash Chopra on Rohit Sharma

Indian captain Rohit Sharma is one of the main reasons behind India reaching the final of the ICC World Cup. He has batted aggressively at the top and has taken his team to glory.

Aakash Chopra feels that Rohit Sharma is leaving a legacy behind that he will be remembered by everyone. He had said:

“In the last World Cup, Rohit became really famous for scoring five centuries, but his team didn’t win. He wasn’t in the 2011 World Cup team, but now, in 2023, it feels like it’s his World Cup. As a captain, he’s going to leave behind a legacy that everyone will remember.”

Rohit Sharma has scored 550 runs in 10 innings that he has played so far. He would be hoping to play a big knock in the final and help his team lift the Cup.
