India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma spoke to reporters ahead of the summit clash of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The media interaction was a typical ‘Rohit Sharma press conference’ as the Indian captain was at his hilarious best and some of his remarks left the reporters present there in splits.

However, at the point during the media interaction, the Indian captain was left annoyed. That happened when suddenly a mobile phone of some journalist rang when Rohit Sharma was responding to a question. The interruption frustrated Rohit Sharma and he annoyingly said “Kya yaar phone band rakho yaar” (Come on yaar, switch off your phone).

“It was tough for Mohammed Shami not to be part of the World Cup initially. He was there to help Mohammed Siraj, and it shows his quality. We told him why he wasn’t part of it and he worked in nets. The results are showing and say a lot about him.”

Rohit further clarified that he doesn’t believe in things like aura and he doesn’t think about the past or future with his focus always remaining on the present. Rohit Sharma said:

“I don’t believe in auras and stuff. You have to land up and play good cricket. If you make mistakes tomorrow, all the good work of 10 games will be wasted. Past and future aren’t things we fret about, and we have focused on the present. What happened in 2003 is something I am not thinking about.”
