German footballer Thomas Muller, who plays for Bayern Munich and the German national team is cheering for the Indian team ahead of their ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 semi-final clash against New Zealand. Thomas Muller thanked Virat Kohli in his post and congratulated the Indian team for the semifinal.
The 2014 World Champion with Germany, wished the Indian team good luck ahead of their semi-final against the Kiwis on November 15 at the historic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Virat Kohli is a global superstar and icon and has many fans all around the world. A lot of renowned footballers, including England’s football captain Harry Kane (Muller’s Bayern Munich teammate), are Kohli fans. The German attacking midfielder shared a video on his social media, with a special message for the Indian Cricket team.

After beating New Zealand in the league stage, India will be high on hopes of repeating that performance against the Blackcaps on Wednesday. The Men In Blue will be looking to avenge the heart-wrenching loss that they suffered at the hands of New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semi-finals.
India, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, has won nine out of nine games in this World Cup. They are yet to taste defeat in this tournament and they are over the time where they can afford a defeat. From hereon, every match is a must-win for India in order to win the World Cup after 12 years.
India was eliminated in the semi-finals in the previous two editions which were played in 2015 and 2019 respectively. However, it will be interesting to see if India reaches the finals this time around or if New Zealand produces another heartbreak for Indian fans and reach their third consecutive ODI World Cup final. The Kiwis led by Kane Williamson have always troubled India, especially in ICC events.
