Team India has reached their fourth ODI World Cup final and will face the mighty Aussies in the finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The iconic Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad will witness the mega-event’s summit clash. India has had a dream run in this World Cup with 10 straight wins without a single defeat in the tournament. Key players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Mohammed Shami, and Ravindra Jadeja are in top form.

Virat Kohli is leading the run charts with 711 runs in 10 innings with an unbelievable average of 101.57. Kohli recently broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most centuries in ODI cricket. He slammed his 50th ODI ton against New Zealand in the semi-final encounter at Wankhede in front of his idol. Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has praised India’s overall performance with a special mention for Virat.

He said, “The Indian team is playing great, overall, the performance has been very good. He (Virat Kohli) has performed very well and he is in very good form. All Indians and his fans have hope that if he makes his next century in the World Cup, that will be a historic moment. It will be a very proud moment for me.”

Rajkumar Sharma further talked about the Australian team. He said that Australia is a very strong team but also stated the key factor for the Indian team that is the form of every player in the team. He feels that India has ticked all the boxes as of now and they will win the finals.

“Australia is a very strong team but the best thing about Team India is that all the players are in form. Overall, India has ticked all the boxes in this tournament, and I hope that India will play with the same momentum. I have full hope that India will win this World Cup,” he added.

India and Australia will face each other in the finals of an ODI World Cup for the second time. These two nations faced each other in the 2003 World Cup finals where Ricky Ponting-led Australia won the match one-sided. Therefore, India will look to avenge the loss of the 2003 World Cup final and the recent World Test Championship Final which took place in June 2023.

Australia is gearing up to win the World Cup title for a record-extending sixth time while India is just one step away from clinching their third World Cup title. The whole world is waiting for the highly anticipated final on Sunday, November 19.
