Last year, the Caribbean Premier League was hosted in its entirety by Trinidad & Tobago.

The franchise-based T20 League’s Chief Operating Officer Pete Russell expressed his gratitude towards Cricket West Indies for assisting them in creating the window for the tournament.

He also thanked St Kitts & Nevis government for agreeing to host CPL 2021.

“It is really exciting to have the tournament window for 2021 confirmed and I would like to thank the St Kitts & Nevis government for agreeing to host this year’s event. We would also like to extend our thanks to Cricket West Indies for helping us create this window in a busy summer of cricket for them. We are looking forward to once again successfully staging the Hero CPL in 2021.” he said.

The Caribbean Premier League will look to build on the success that it enjoyed last season. The T20 carnival saw a combined viewership of 523 million, an increase of 67% on CPL 2019. The tournament was eventually won by the Kieron Pollard-led Trinbago Knight Riders, who enjoyed an unbeaten streak throughout the season.
