India plays Ireland in a two-match T20I series later this month. The two T20Is will be played on June 28 and 28 at the Village Ground in Dubin. India heads into this series straight after they complete their full-fledged tour to England comprising of one Test, three T20Is and three ODIs.

India and Ireland have played three T20Is, with the Men in Blue winning all three games. The Indian side last played a T20I against Ireland in 2018. Both India and Ireland have named their squads for the series. Rahul Tripathi has finally got his much-deserved opportunity to make his India T20I debut. Sanju Samson has also got a worthy return call after a memorable IPL 2022 season.

The senior players are still missing for India for the series. The side will be led by Hardik Pandya with Bhuvneshwar Kumar as his deputy. Suryakumar Yadav makes a comeback into the side as several other youngsters have been given a chance.

Ireland has also announced a 14-member side with Andrew Balbirnie to lead them. Curtis Campher, Gareth Delany, and George Dockrell are the regular names who are a part of the squad. All-rounders Simi Singh and Shane Getkate have been left out from the squad that played in the T20 World Cup Qualifier earlier this year. Pandya ranks fifth in the list of highest run-getters against Ireland. He was a part of the 2018 tour to Ireland where he scored 38 runs from two games including a 32 in the second game. India scored 213 in that match and won the game by 143 runs bowling out Ireland for just 70.
