Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revoked the players’ No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for the T10 League in order to manage the workload of the cricketers. Notably, the tournament will run from November 14 to 24 in the UAE.

Many Pakistan cricketers including the likes of Mohammad Hafeez, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, Shoaib Malik among few were slated to take part in the competition. The decision comes after Pakistan’s struggle to meet quality fitness standards.

The cricket in Pakistan is currently going through a turmoil after 3-0 drubbing against Sri Lanka in the T20Is. Following, PCB has scrapped Sarfaraz Ahmed as their skipper handing leadership duties to Azhar Ali in the Tests and Babar Azam in the T20Is. As they look to fix the country’s cricket, the apex body has cancelled all the NOC’s for the next month’s tournament.

“To manage the players’ workload, continued work on their fitness levels as well as to ensure primacy and participation of its players in its premier Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, the PCB has revoked conditional NOCs of its players to feature in the T10 tournament,” PCB said in a statement.

Pakistan have quite a few important series lined up in the future with the ICC World Test Championship also looming large. They will visit Australia to play T20Is and Tests which will also be Azhar Ali and Babar Azam’s first assignment as Pakistan skipper.

The Men in Greens will play three T20I matches starting from November 3 followed by two Tests in Brisbane and Adelaide.
