Shahid Afridi asked Inzamam-ul-Haq a funny question regarding Wasim Akram being upset in the dugout during the Karachi Kings’ PSL 2023 match against Peshawar Zalmi.
Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans by one run in the first game of the Pakistan Super League, and Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by two runs in the second game.

The second game of the league was significant because it marked Babar Azam’s first appearance against the Kings since parting ways with the team last year. Additionally, Karachi Kings also featured players like Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, who are currently out of favour with the Pakistani team.

Wasim Akram is the bowling coach for the Karachi Kings, who boast a star-studded squad and a renowned figure in their dugout. Inzamam-ul-Haq, a former captain of Pakistan and legendary batsman, is also the president of Peshawar Zalmi. When discussing the thrilling conclusion to the game with Samaa TV after the game, Inzamam-ul-Haq made a fairly amusing comment about Akram.

“Lahore and Multan had also played a similarly close match”: Inzamam-ul-Haq

When Shahid Afridi, another former Pakistan captain who is now a member of the channel’s expert panel, questioned Inzamam about how Akram appeared to be uncomfortable in the game’s closing seconds against Zalmi, Inzamam responded with hilarity that the legendary Pakistani bowler “gets angry very rapidly.”

“You all know Wasim bhai gets angry very quickly. And the words that he uses when he is angry… both you and Misbah know about it,” Inzamam said, invoking laughter from Afridi and Misbah, who were also in the studio.

“In pressure situations, such things are normal. And that’s the beauty of this game. Lahore and Multan had also played a similarly close match. This is how players get to learn. They get to know how to face pressure situations because this is what you get in international cricket as well. Selectors keep a close eye on PSL because the level of pressure is similar. This is a big advantage,” Inzamam further said.
