Babar Azam responded to his critiques with a stunning half-century. After being granted the opportunity to bat first, The Zalmi put up a solid score of 156 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Yet, it appears that Babar Azam was dissatisfied with his performance and throws his bat away in frustration.

United completed the chase with 31 balls remaining. Rahmanullah Gurbaz made sure the Zalmi bowlers did not dominate. With seven fours and four sixes, the Afghan hitter scored 62 runs off 31 balls.

Although Hasan Ali was named Player of the Match, Gurbaz’s knock took the zing out of the Zalmi. Rassie van der Dussen and Asif Ali each scored 42 and 29 not out. For Zalmi, Arshad Iqbal, Neesham, and Usman Qadir each took one wicket.
