Kieron Pollard of the Multan Sultans was punished for a level 1 violation of the HBL PSL Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Workers during his team’s match against the Lahore Qalandars on Saturday at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Red-hot In the 20th match of Pakistan Super League season 8 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore Qalandars extended their winning streak by defeating Multan Sultans by 21 runs on Saturday.

Before the bowlers for the Sultans sent Sikandar Raza and David Wiese to the pavilion, they each scored 14 runs. The top teams are about to advance to the championship cricket tournament’s playoffs. The top two teams in the points table remain there after back-to-back victories.

Kieron Pollard pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the sanction:

Kieron Pollard breached Article 2.5, which states that “using language, acts, or gestures that denigrate or could cause an angry reaction from a batter following his/her ejection during a match” is prohibited.

The event occurred in the 13th over of the first innings, when Kieron Pollard signalled toward the pavilion after taking Abdullah Shafique’s catch off his own bowling.

Kieron Pollard accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Muhammad Javed Malik after pleading guilty to the offence. On-field umpires Martin Saggers and Faisal Afridi, third umpire Ahsan Raza, and fourth umpire Shozab Raza all levelled the charge.
