Watch: Shaheen Afridi and Kieron Pollard’s heated clash:

The 19th over of the match between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars proved to be a turning point in the game as Kieron Pollard smashed three consecutive sixes off Pakistan pace spearhead, Shaheen Afridi. Afridi, who was not happy about being taken apart by Pollard, was seen exchanging some heated words with the West Indian all-rounder after the last ball of the over disappeared over the deep square leg.

The incident added some extra spice to the already intense encounter between the two teams. While Afridi may have been disappointed with his performance, Pollard’s exceptional hitting was a treat for cricket fans around the world.

The game between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League saw Kieron Pollard in top form, as he went, after all, three of the Qalandars’ star players. Pollard hit a six each off Rashid Khan and Haris Rauf, and also hit Shaheen Afridi for a six off the first ball of the 17th over when the latter had returned for his final spell. Afridi ended up conceding 20 runs in the 19th over, the most he has ever conceded in an over in his PSL career.

Kieron Pollard eventually fell in the last over to Rauf, but the damage had already been done. In response, the Lahore innings never got going, with Sheldon Cottrell taking three wickets while Usama Mir took two. Kieron Pollard himself got the wicket of Zimbabwe star Sikandar Raza. Lahore was eventually all out for a paltry 76 runs in just 14.3 overs, handing Multan Sultans a comprehensive victory.
