Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has come back to form since the Asia Cup 2022. He broke his century drought by first scoring his maiden T20I ton against Afghanistan. He then scored three ODI centuries in a space of a few games starting with his first against Bangladesh. It was in the same match that Ishan Kishan scored his maiden double ton.

In 2023, in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, Kohli scored two centuries. He scored 113 in the first ODI and then scored 166 in the third ODI. Shubman Gill scored his maiden ODI double ton in the third ODI against the Lankans and joined an elite list of Indian batters.

In between the ODIs and the Tests was the T20 World Cup 2022 where Kohli ended up as the highest run-getter scoring 295 runs. Though India did not reach the final, Kohli made his in the tournament.

It is in Test cricket that Kohli has to find his mojo. He scored a good-looking 44 in the first innings of the second in Delhi. Brook has taken international cricket by storm especially in Test cricket scoring four tons in just six matches. In the second Test against New Zealand, he scored an unbeaten 184 on the opening day of the Test match.

He has just played three ODIs so far with a best score of 80 and 20 T20Is with a best score of 87 in ODIs. He has been a consistent scorer in all formats in his limited career so far and seems to be an all-format player.
