On Thursday, July 20, India National Cricket Team stalwart Virat Kohli achieved a spectacular milestone and became just the 10th cricketer in the history of the game to reach the memorable landmark.
Virat Kohli is featuring in his 500th international game for the India National Cricket Team in the second Test of the two-match series against Kraigg Brathwaite-led West Indies National Cricket Team at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad.

He has become just the fourth Indian player after Sachin Tendulkar (664), MS Dhoni (538), and Rahul Dravid (509) to achieve the milestone.
Virat Kohli made his debut for Team India in 2008 and since then he has created and shattered several massive records to cement his status as a legend in the game. Kohli has been the backbone of India’s batting unit for more than a decade and he has further solidified his position as one of the all-time greats by completing 500 international games.
Virat Kohli Joins Elite Club
Across 499 games in his glorious career, Virat Kohli scored 25461 runs at an outstanding average of 53.48 and a strike rate of 79.11. Kohli smashed 75 centuries and 131 half-centuries during this period. Currently, he is the sixth-highest run-getter in the history of cricket.
Notably, no player had scored more runs than Virat Kohli after 499 international matches. Also, he holds the records for most runs, best average, most half-centuries, most Player of the Match awards, most Player of the Series awards, and several other records after playing 499 international matches.
