England Test skipper Ben Stokes shattered the massive six-hitting record of Kevin Pietersen in the Ashes. The southpaw surpassed the former captain in terms of most sixes hit in a single series between England and Australia. 

Ben Stokes achieved the feat in the ongoing Ashes 2023 after he hit six during his second innings at the Oval. With his one hit, he surpassed Kevin Pietersen’s tally of 14 sixes and ended the series with 15 maximums to his name.

Ben Stokes has been going through the rich vain of form with the bat in the ongoing Ashes 2023. The English skipper is the fourth-highest run-getter in the series with 405 runs at an average of 45 to go with one century and two half-centuries in the five games. Apart from the 15 sixes he smashed 15 boundaries as well. 

Ben Stokes, who hit 13 sixes in Ashes 2019, is second on the list of batters with the most sixes in the Test series. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma tops the charts with 19 sixes against South Africa in 2019/20. The England skipper has 15 sixes, which is the second highest along with Shimron Hetmyer, who hit 15 maximums against Bangladesh in 2018/19.

England skipper tops the list of most sixes in an Ashes series followed by Kevin Pietersen. Ben Stokes also finds himself in the list at No.3 with 13 sixes whereas Andrew Flintoff is last with 11 maximums to his name during Ashes 2005.
