Indian batter Virat Kohli achieved a massive feat in the multi-nation tournaments. The batter became only the second player from his team to complete 100 catches in the multi-nation tournament. He joined Mohammad Azharuddin in the list and the duo are levelled at hundred catches. The current India batter has a fair chance to go ahead as he will be playing more games ahead.

Virat Kohli achieved the feat in the ongoing game against Nepal in the Asia Cup 2023. The Indian batter completed 100 catches in the multi-nation tournaments after he bagged the catch of Aasif Sheikh at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele.

Mohammed Siraj bowled a back-of-a-length ball on off stump. Aasif Sheikh closed the bat face early as he looked to play it into the leg side. In the process, he got a leading edge and the ball lobbed towards cover. Virat Kohli looked tentative but he managed to bag the catch with one hand.

Virat Kohli notably dropped the catch of Aasif Sheikh in the second over. It was a sitter as he hopped to the catch and made a mess of it. The ball juggled on him as well but unfortunately, it fell down. But he rectified his mistake after picking one one-handed grab.

With this catch, Virat Kohli completed 143 catches in the ODIs. He currently stands on fourth on the list of all-time most catches in the history of the 50-over format.
