Zimbabwe take on India in the third and final ODI in Harare on August 22, Monday. After their ODI series win against Bangladesh, the African nation has been dominated by India in this ODI series. They will be looking to win the final ODI and salvage some pride.
Zimbabwe lost both the matches batting first. They scored 189 in the first ODI and 161 in the second. Their batters underperformed in both games. Senior players like Sean Ervine, skipper Regis Chakabva and Sikandar Raza who were expected to score big have faltered with the bat.
“Last few games we struggled to pick up early wickets and we managed to do that. Today we were short of a few runs. We were up for the challenge, the bowlers hit their lengths really well” said the Zimbabwean skipper after the second ODI loss.
