India and Australia crossed swords with each other in the second ODI of the series at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Shubman Gill yet again was the shining light for the team as he played another magnificent innings for his team and beautifully set up the win for them.

Shubman Gill continued his golden touch this year as he made a mockery of the Australian bowlers. He smashed 74 runs in the last game and made sure that he goes one step ahead this time as he slammed a staggering ton.

Shubman Gill brought up his 6th ODI ton in 92 balls and also smashed 6 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. He ended with the knock of 104 runs and his stupendous effort saw India posting a gigantic total of 399 runs on the board and then winning the match by the margin of 99 runs.

However, during his innings, Shubman Gill was teased a lot by the Indore crowd. The fans in the stadiums chanted “Humari Bhabhi Kaisi ho? Sara Bhabhi Jaisi Ho” loudly. Here’s the video of the incident

Not only during his batting, but even when Shubman Gill was fielding the crowd teased him. For reference, the Indian batting is rumored to be dating daughter of Sachin Tendulkar, Sara.

It feels good – Shubman Gill after his century

Shubman Gill also talked about his knock in Indore. He said that he’s delighted with the way he batted and from the team’s perspective as well, he’s satisfied. He also picked up his favorite shot from the game. Speaking to broadcasters after the game, he explained:

“It feels good. Satisfied as a team, we have the momentum at the right time. It depends on the situation, there’s definitely some confidence. I can cover up later, and that confidence is because I am scoring at the moment.

“With the way KL and Surya played, they kept the momentum going. A taget of 400 was going to be difficult on any surface, and the bowlers came out and did their job. I think the six against Green down the ground, it was really special for me.”

India have already sealed the series 2-0. The dead rubber third ODI between the teams will be played on Wednesday (27th September).
