Indian star wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul, who led India to victories in the first two ODIs of the ongoing three-match series against Australia, has named Afghanistan star leg-spinner Rashid Khan as the bowler who has troubled him the most.
While KL Rahul, who has been in brilliant form since his comeback from injury, has struggled against the likes of Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah he named Rashid, who plays for Gujarat Titans in the IPL, as the bowler who has troubled him a lot.
KL Rahul Picks The Bowler Who Has Troubled Him The Most
In an interaction with Jio Cinema during the ongoing India- Australia series, KL Rahul was asked to name a bowler who had troubled him a lot. The stand-in captain for the first two ODIs named none other than star Afghanistan & Gujrat Titans bowler Rashid as his prime pick.
In the same interview, Rahul named Sachin Tendulkar as the ‘GOAT’ of cricket. He also named Rahul Dravid along with Sachin who inspired him to play the sport. On asking about his favorite shot, he called cover drive his favorite shot. He was also asked about the one shot that he wanted to borrow from another batter, and he answered AB de Villiers’ scoop shot.
Rahul, who is in great touch after his comeback from injury, scored a brilliant century against the arch-rivals Pakistan and played a key role in India’s Asia Cup triumph and has continued his form in the current ODI series against Australia scoring two back-to-back half-centuries.
He played a vital role in the 1st ODI against Australia at Mohali to take India over the line with the partnership with Suryakumar Yadav. In the 2nd ODI, after India lost the two main batsmen, Rahul played a free-flowing innings and helped India to reach a massive total of 399 against Australia in Indore.
Rahul led India to a series victory against the Aussies in the absence of senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav. The Men in Blue won the first match by five wickets and won the second by 99 runs
He also cemented his position in the World Cup 2023 team with his brilliant form. He is supposed to be the keeper-batsman in the playing 11.
