Former Indian cricketer and batting coach Sanjay Bangar thinks that Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul will be the No. 4 and No. 5 for India in the 3rd ODI match against Australia.

Team India are going to play the 3rd and final ODI match of the series against Australia in Rajkot on Wednesday, September 27. Talking about India’s playing 11, former Indian cricketer and commentator Sanjay Bangar said that Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul will be the No. 4 and No.5 in the final ODI match.

India have comfortably won the first two ODI matches against Australia. In the absence of senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Hardik Pandya, India thrashed Australia in all the departments. They beat Australia by 5 wickets in the first game with brilliant batting by Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Suryakumar Yadav. In the 2nd ODI, team India scored 399 with the help of brilliant batting from Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer who scored mighty hundreds along with skipper KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav, who hit fifties.

Sanjay Bangar Feels Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan Will Be Dropped From XI

With senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Hardik Pandya returning to the team in the 3rd ODI match, there is a question mark over who will miss out from the playing 11.

Ruturaj Gaikwad who scored a half-century in the 1st ODI is not the part of 3rd ODI match as he is going to lead India in the Asian Games 2023. As each and every player is in great form, it will be difficult for the team management to pick the XI.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Bangar said that Suryakumar and Ishan Kishan are the two players, who are going to be out from the playing 11. He feels that Shreyas Iyer who has scored a brilliant century in the previous match and KL Rahul are ahead in the pecking order and they are going to play at No.4 & No.5 respectively.

Talking to Star Sports ahead of the final ODI match between India and Australia in Rajkot, Sanjay Bangar said, “I think who is the main wicketkeeper that will be a big point. If it is KL Rahul then he will bat at No. 5 and Shreyas will take the No. 4 spot. Then, unfortunately, Ishan Kishan and Surya will miss out in the last game.”
