India captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are on the verge of equalling the massive record of Sachin Tendulkar in the ODIs. Both batters can equal the batting great’s record of most centuries against Australia in the 50-over format. 

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli can achieve the feat in the upcoming third ODI against Australia in Rajkot. Both the premier batters have eight centuries each against five-time World champions. They were rested for the first two games of the series and would be looking to get some runs under their belt ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023. 

Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of 9 centuries against Australia in ODIs is the most by any batter in the history of the game. However, both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have a great chance to join the batting great. It would be icing on the cake for fans if they both do it in the last game.

Both the icons of Indian cricket have a staggering record against Australia and it’s fair to say that they enjoy playing against them. Virat Kohli has played 46 ODIs against Australia and in that he has smashed  2172 runs at a stunning average of 52.98 to go with the highest score of 123 runs.

Coming to Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain has scored 2259 runs in ODIs against Australia at a rollicking average of  59.23. The opening batter has smashed a double century against them as well in the ODIs. He has also hit 78 sixes against them, which is the most by any batter in the history of the game.
