Indian captain Rohit Sharma roasted Amit Mishra, who is part of the Jio Cinema commentary panel, after the practice session ahead of the third ODI against Australia in Rajkot. He teased the former leg-spinner with some hilarious comments.
Rohit Sharma was rested from the first two games against Australia. He joined the team on Wednesday (27th September) morning and in the evening he had a practice session. The captain got into the groove ahead of the final game before the World Cup and would be hoping to get a big score tomorrow.
While he left no stone unturned in his practice session, Rohit Sharma also made sure that he kept himself in a joyous mood ahead of the match. He interacted with Jio Cinema’s broadcasting team, of which Amit Mishra was a part.
Rohit Sharma teased Amit Mishra and hilariously asked him why his eyes were red. The veteran spinner replied that he didn’t sleep last night to which the Indian captain again mocked him. He added that the kind of commitment Mishra was showing with the broadcasting team, he never showed on the ground.

India have already sealed the series 2-0 and therefore there won’t be any added pressure on Rohit Sharma going into the last game. The captain last played in Asia Cup 2023 and was in great touch. He smashed three vital half-centuries and was amongst the leading run-getters in the tournament.

Rohit Sharma addressed the press conference ahead of the third ODI against Australia, to be played on Wednesday (27th September). He revealed that Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, and Mohammed Shami won’t be part of the team and also confirmed that Axar Patel is not fit yet. Speaking to reporters, he added:
“We have got a lot of players who are sick, unavailable, some have gone home for personal reasons and some are rested. So 13 players are available. Gill, Hardik, and Shami aren’t playing. Axar is unavailable for this game. We have got 13 players to choose from, so there’s a lot of uncertainty in the team.”
The likes of Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Shardul Thakur, and Mohammed Shami didn’t travel with the team to Rajkot. Whereas Rohit Sharma mentioned that Hardik Pandya will be missing the game due to personal commitments.
