India and Australia are currently squaring off with each other in the dead rubber third ODI in Rajkot. The heat in the city has taken its toll on the players but despite that Virat Kohli has managed to hog the headlines with his antics in the middle of the innings.

Australian batter Steve Smith was struggling to get going in the heat of Rajkot. In the middle of the innings, he took a drink break and had wet towels all around him. Even a chair was brought out for him and he underwent some treatment.

Marnus Labuschagne was standing on the side and it was at that moment when Virat Kohli seized in the opportunity to tease him. The Indian batter came close to him and danced hilariously in front of him. After that, he poked him as well before the two engaged in a conversation.

Here’s the video of the incident:

After that break, Steve Smith didn’t last too long on the pitch. His stay at the crease was cut short by Mohammed Siraj. The pacer trapped him in lbw for 74 runs. The game currently hangs evenly poised with both teams leaving no stone unturned in being at the top. Australia are keeping the scoring intact whereas Indian bowlers are chipping in with regular wickets.

Virat Kohli likely to open the innings in the third IND vs AUS ODI

Virat Kohli is likely to open the innings in the ongoing third ODI against Australia in Rajkot. Shubman Gill has been released from the squad whereas Ishan Kishan isn’t picked in the dead rubber third game due to his illness. This makes way for the dream duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to open.

Virat Kohli doesn’t have a great record as an opener in ODIs. He has played seven games as an opener and in that he has scored just 166 runs at an average of below 24. If he partners Rohit Sharma in the last game, he would be hoping to better that record.
