Indian batter Virat Kohli said that he’s in a very happy place and is back to playing his best cricket again. He added that takes a lot of pride in doing the job for his team and did it with the same intensity under MS Dhoni, himself and now Rohit Sharma.

Virat Kohli was completely out of touch and failed to score runs. But a short break ahead of the Asia Cup 2022 turned things for him as he returned to his golden touch and started scoring runs as he used to and winning matches of the game.

Virat Kohli is currently part of the Indian team in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship Final. He looked solid in the first innings but unfortunately couldn’t manage to score big. The right-hander scored 14 runs off 31. In the second innings, in the run-chase of 444 runs, he was the hope of 1.4 billion people. He fulfilled the expectations to some extent and scored 49 runs. 

Virat Kohli said that he’s back to his best after a lot of things happened over the last couple of years. Speaking to the ICC during the ongoing ICC WTC Final, he said:

“I’m in a very happy place. Lots happened over the last couple of years. Lots of stuff off the field. Stuff that over a long period of time in a long career tends to happen mostly with everyone, complication of the sport playing at the highest level. But I feel I am playing my best cricket again.”

WTC Final: Virat Kohli Takes Lots Of Pride In Doing Job For The Team 

Virat Kohli further went on to say that he takes a lot of pride in doing his job for the team and he’s happy whenever he comes to bat. He added that despite playing under different leaders, his responsibility remains the same.

He explained: “I’m happy being out there with the bat in my hand and doing the job for the team which I take a lot of pride in doing in firstly under MS Dhoni’s captaincy then my own captaincy and now under Rohit Sharma. My responsibility as a batter has remained the same.”
