ICC WTC final 2023 has grabbed a marvellous milestone as it has become the match with the highest viewership in the history of Test cricket. Star Sports Network claimed that ICC WTC final 2023 between India and Australia has become the most-watched Test match of all time.

Citing BARC data, Star Sports reckoned that the Test match between India and Australia in July grabbed a viewership of 124 million. This is the highest-ever viewership for any Test match. It is also 32% higher than the previous ICC WTC final 2021 between India and New Zealand.

Star Sports Network was the official broadcaster for ICC WTC Final 2023. The live streaming was available on their app Disney+ Hotstar. The broadcaster said they registered 14.4 billion minutes of watch time for live broadcast, which is more than any other Test match in history.

Star Sports Thanks Fans For Overwhelming Response During ICC WTC Final 2023

In an official statement, Star Sports Spokesperson thanked fans for their overwhelming response during ICC World Test Championship Final 2023. The Spokesperson said that the record reaffirms the growth potential of sports events on their channels.

Disney Hotstar- the OTT app for Star Sports- recently announced that they will live stream the forthcoming Asia Cup 2023 and ICC ODI World Cup 2023 for free on mobile for Indian viewers. Hence, Indian fans will be able to watch the live streaming of these two tournaments for free on the Disney+ Hotstar app.

Meanwhile, India lost the ICC WTC final 2023 to Australia by 209 runs. Chasing a mammoth total of 444 for victory in the final innings, India were bundled out for just 234 in 2nd innings; losing by a big margin. Earlier, Australia posted 469/10 and 270/8 in both innings while India piled up 296/10 in the 1st innings.
