Star Australian opener David Warner who shares a special bond with his Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) teammate and the skipper of New Zealand Cricket Team Kane Williamson has shared a heartfelt picture of them after Australia’s maiden T20 World Cup triumph.

The summit clash of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 saw the battle between Kane Williamson-led New Zealand and Aaron Finch-led Australia at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, November 14 and Australia won the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 championship by defeating New Zealand National Cricket Team by 8 wickets.

Australia were not considered as favourites to win the championship as they were heading into the World Cup with 5 consecutive series losses, Australia lost 2-1 vs England, 2-1 vs India, 3-2 vs New Zealand, 4-1 vs West Indies, 4-1 vs Bangladesh. However, they won the World Cup.

After the summit clash, Warner who is very active on social media took the social media platform Instagram to shower praise on Williamson and shared a picture in which the duo was seen hugging each other he even labelled the Kiwi Captain as the legend.

Warner wrote: “My man, you legend.”

In the final of the showpiece event, Williamson played the captain’s knock of 85 runs and helped New Zealand post the target of 173 runs but that wasn’t enough as Australia convincingly chased the target.

Talking about Warner he smashed a half-century chasing the target in the final and he even won the ‘ Player of the tournament’ award for his amazing 289 runs in seven games at an amazing strike rate and a brilliant average of 48.16.
