After witnessing 29 days of non-stop cricketing action, the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 came to an end on Sunday. Australia wrote their name in the history books after beating New Zealand in the final to win their first-ever ICC T20 World Cup title. Due to the slow and sluggish nature of the pitches in UAE, the fans didn’t witness a lot of high-scoring totals.

The spinners rule the roost throughout the tournament. The fast bowlers also had a considerable amount of success. The ones who varied their pace brillaintly and kept the batsmen guessing with different variations proved effective.

Interestingly, out of the top-five wicket-takers, only two were pacers. Here’s a look at our top five fast bowlers in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021

5 Best Fast Bowlers in ICC T20 World Cup 2021

  1. Josh Hazlewood

Josh Hazlewood has been representing Australia in T20 cricket regularly for the last couple of years. It won’t be wrong to say that all those matches helped him in bowling exceedingly well in ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He came into the tournament on the back of exceptional performances for CSK in IPL.

Hazlewood carried his form into the T20 World Cup and dished out exceptional performances for Australia. Hazlewood continues to prove that bowling the Test-match line and lengths is as effective in Test Cricket as in the shortest format. He was, arguably, the best bowler in the powerplay.

Hazlewood’s best performance came in the final of the tournament against New Zealand. He picked the valuable wickets of Daryl Mitchell, Williamson and Glenn Phillips and gave only 16 runs in 4 overs. Hazlewood finished with 11 wickets in 7 matches at an average of 15.91.
