5 Reasons Why Rohit Sharma Should Be Sacked As India’s Captain Ahead Of ICC World Cup 2023. Team India lost another ICC title and even Rohit Sharma has failed to drive the team to ICC trophies twice under his captainship. Under Test skipper Rohit Sharma, India lost ICC WTC 2023 final to Australia by 290 runs. The victory cocked up the team’s hard work in Tests over the last two years. Once again, India finished as runners-up in the WTC cycle.

Unfortunately, in the last two years, Rohit Sharma has largely failed to grab any huge triumph for the team under his captaincy. His captainship is a little average and the team might benefit in the future if Sharma is snubbed as skipper. Here we talk about 5 reasons why Rohit Sharma should be sacked as India’s captain ahead of ICC World Cup 2023.

Rohit Sharma became the captain of the Team in November 2021 and since then, his batting form has diminished gradually. If we talk about Tests, Sharma had an average of 30.0 in 2022 and 37.50 this year. This is way below than his average of 47.68 in 2021.

His ODI batting average has also dropped below 50 after he took the captainship. His ODI average read more than 57 prior to 2021. Similarly, the Indian skipper’s T20I average dropped below 40 in 2021 and below 25 last year. Hence, his batting form has fallen as an opener during the last few years which is not a good sign for a batsman.
