Trinbago Knight Riders played their last game against St. Lucia Kings, which they lost by 5 runs. On a two-paced surface, St. Lucia Kings did well to post 157 runs in the first innings. Tim David starred with the bat once again for the team. He scored 43 runs off 32 balls, including three fours and as many sixes. Roston Chase also did well to score 30 off 24 balls.
For Knight Riders, Ravi Rampaul was the star performer with the ball as he took three for 29 runs in 4 overs. Sunil Narine and Udana went wicketless, while Jayden Seales and Akeal Hosein picked one wicket each.
Trinbago Knight Riders had a similar start with the bat as well. Lendl Simmons and Tion Webster made a slow start which hurt the team in the end. However, Wahab Riaz held his nerves and gave only 4 runs in the next five balls. Saint Lucia Kings eventually won the game by 5 runs.
Saint Lucia Kings have earned their first win of the tournament and they would be keen to continue in the winning mode. It will be interesting to see if Trinbago Knight Riders will make a stronger comeback or the St. Lucia Kings produce their second consecutive win against the Knight Riders.
