Trinbago Knight Riders face Jamaica Tallawahs in the 19th match of the Caribbean Premier League on Tuesday at Warner Park Cricket Stadium. Both teams met each other once on Sunday as well. Trinbago Knight Riders won that game quite easily by 7 wickets. With that win, the Knight Riders got elevated to the third position on the points table.

In their nineteenth match of the tournament, the Knight Riders will, once again, be facing Jamaica Tallawahs. They would be confident of registering another win on Tuesday. Akeal Hosein and Ravi Rampaul ran through Jamaica’s top-order in the last game.

The duo took four wickets between them to leave Jamaica reeling at 15 for 5 in the first six overs. However, Imad Wasim, Carlos Brathwaite and Andre Russell led a brilliant recovery and took the team to 144 in 20 overs.

Lendl Simmons, who endured forgettable outings till that game, tore apart the opposition. He played a heroic 75-run knock off just 45 balls in the second innings to seal the game for the side. Simmons hit five sixes and five fours during his knock before getting out in the fourteenth over. Thanks to the knock, Trinbago managed to chase down the total in just 17.1 overs.

Jamaica Tallawahs, on the other hand, sits at second from the bottom of the table with 2 wins in 5 matches. They would be hopeful of an improved bowling performance in the next game. The all-rounders namely Carlos Brathwaite, Imad Wasim, and Andre Russell have been doing a great job but the top-order needs to fire as well.

The top-order went cheaply in the last game. They would want to forget the memories of the defeat and come back stronger. Fidel Edwards had a forgettable outing in the last game. It remains to be seen if the team persists with him or not. Imad Wasim was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 2 for 19 in 4 overs. Chris Green and Migeal Pretorius gave away 65 runs in 7.1 overs combined with 1 wicket to their name.
