CPL 2021 Live: SLK vs BR- How To Watch The Match In Your Country? The 25th match of the CPL 2021 sees Saint Lucia Kings take on Barbados Royals on Saturday at Warner Park. Both sides haven’t had the best of outings in the tournament. Barbados Royals have only managed to win 2 games and thus find themselves at the bottom of the points table.

Barbados Royals registered their second win against Guyana Amazon Warriors on Tuesday but then lost against Trinbago Knight Riders. Jason Holder and Co. were invited to bat first and were bundled out for a paltry 93 runs. K Mayers and J Charles started off well, adding 20 runs in the first two overs. Mayers scored 24 off just 12 wickets before getting out to Khary Pierre while trying to play shots one too many.

J Charles and Smit Patel too followed soon as the Royals found themselves in trouble at 41 for 3 inside 8 overs. Glenn Phillips (2 off 7) and Azam Khan (17 off 21) too couldn’t come to their rescue, while Holder (0), Reifer (16 off 21), and Young (0 off 2) also got out cheaply.

Barbados Royals tried hard in the second innings but 94 runs were never going to be enough to defend. M Amir cleaned up both the openers, while Joshua Bishop accounted for the wickets of Darren Bravo (19 off 26) and Tim Seifert (12 off 14).

However, Colin Munro kept one end strong and made sure the runs keep coming. He played an unbeaten knock of 41 runs off 47 balls as Trinbago Knight Riders chased down the target in 16.5 overs.

On the other hand, Saint Lucia Kings are currently sitting at fourth position with 4 wins in 8 matches. They, however, have suffered two consecutive defeats. St. Lucia Kings are coming into the game on the back of a 55-run win defeat at the hands of Jamaica Tallawahs. Jamaica batted first and smashed a mammoth 211-run total in the allotted 20 overs. All the batsmen in the top five made significant contributions, with Kennar Lewis top-scoring (54 off 24) with the bat.

In Reply, Saint Lucia Kings were folded for only 156 runs. While Faf du Plessis got out early, Andrew Fletcher (30 off 13) and Mark Deyal (33 off 17) made valuable contributions early on in the innings. Roston Chase also scored 30 off 17.

However, none of them went on to play a big knock for the team. Saint Lucia had crossed the 100-run mark inside 9 overs but what followed was a collapse. There was little contribution from the lower middle order as Saint Lucia Kings fell short of 55 runs in the end.
