CPL 2021 Live Streaming: Jamaica Tallawahs vs Guyana Amazon Warriors, Match 26. The 26th match of the CPL 2021 has Jamaica Tallawahs take on Guyana Amazon Warriors at Warner Park on Sunday  Both sides are very much in the hunt for a place in the playoffs and one could expect the game to be a cracker of a contest.

Jamaica Tallawahs sits third on the points table with 4 wins in 8 matches. Their net run rate of +0.536 keeps them in good stead. They are coming into the game on the back of two consecutive wins. They will be playing their last two games against Guyana Amazon Warriors. Jamaica would be riding on confidence given how they won their last game against St. Lucia Kings.

Winning the toss and opted to bat first, Jamaica posted a massive 211-run total in 20 overs. Kennar Lewis set the tone for a high-scoring total with a fine 56-run knock off just 24 balls. He hit 5 fours and as many sixes to bring up the second fast half-century of the tournament.

The middle-order comprising of Shamarh Brooks (34 off 29), Rovman Powell (22 off 22), and Andre Russell (31 off 15) also made significant contributions in the middle overs. Imad Wasim three consecutive sixes in the final over meant Jamaica reach a winning score in the end.

Saint Lucia Kings too made a blistering start in the second innings, having reached the 100-run total inside 8 overs. However, Carlos Brathwaite’s two wickets in two balls in the ninth over, saw a collapse and Saint Lucia Kings found themselves bundle out for 156. Imad Wasim finished with 3 wickets, while Brathwaite and Permaul picked two each.

Facing them are Guyana Amazon Warriors, who too are coming off a win against St. Lucia Kings. Riding on Brandon Kings’s 77-run knock, Guyana posted 151 runs in the first innings. He set the tone for a high score but there was little contribution from the middle order.

Shimron Hetmyer (1 off 4), Shoaib Malik (1 off 4), and Mohammad Hafeez (12 off 14) went back without troubling a lot to the opposition. Odean Smith’s 14-ball 18-run cameo later in the innings meant the Warriors reach past the 150-run mark.

Saint Lucia Kings failed to chase the target as they managed 134 runs in the second innings. Imran Tahir and Gudakesh Motie ensured the Kings didn’t get a great start in the power play overs. He sent back Andre Fletcher in the 6th over of the innings before Faf du Plessis went back in the 5th over.

Gudakesh Motie then removed Samit Patel to leave the opposition reeling at 43 for 3. Roston Chase and Tim David led the recovery but both of them got out at crucial stages in the game and Saint Lucia couldn’t recover from thereafter.
