Suryakumar Yadav, the No.1 ranked batter in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings, played an absolutely remarkable knock in the final Super 12 stage match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 against Craig Ervine-led Zimbabwe National Cricket Team, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday, November 6.
The 32-year-old India National Cricket Team middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav came out to bat after the dismissal of the in-form Virat Kohli in the 12th over of the innings.

Suryakumar, as usual, looked comfortable out in the middle and from the 16th over, he started annihilating the Zimbabwe bowling unit. He looked dominant and smashed some unbelievable-looking shots that stunned the Twitterverse.
Suryakumar Yadav smashed a quickfire half-century off 23 balls and overall he smashed sensational 61 runs off 25 balls, including 6 terrific fours and 4 exceptional sixes.
Also, the No.1 ranked T20I batter played with a stunning strike rate of 244. With the help of Suryakumar’s remarkable knock and opener KL Rahul’s brilliant fifty India managed to post 186/5 on the board.
Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav, who has been in terrific form in T20Is since making his debut last year, has become the first Indian in the history of T20Is to score 1000 runs in a calendar year. He is only the second player – Mohammad Rizwan being the first – to score 1000 T20I runs in a calendar year.
In the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, the middle-order batter has smashed 225 runs in 5 innings at an average of 75 and a strike rate of 193.97, including 3 fifties.
