Indian Cricket Team is high on confidence after registering a convincing win over Zimbabwe. The Men in Blue won the match by 71 runs and topped Group 2. Suryakumar Yadav, the dashing right-handed batter played a remarkable knock of 61 runs in only 25 balls.

India’s batting unit looks like a threatening one as they have got all the bases covered. The resurgence of Virat Kohli at the top of the order has meant that the rest of the batters can bat around him and play. The team’s newly adopted fearless approach has been quite fruitful as they are not afraid to take down any bowling attack.

Suryakumar Yadav on Batting

Suryakumar Yadav was having an interaction with Star Sports and was asked about his scoop shot. “I have practiced that stroke a lot when I used to play rubber-ball cricket. You got to understand what the bowler is going to bowl at that time, which is a little pre-determined at that moment,” said Suryakumar Yadav.

“You got to know how long the boundary behind is. When I stand there, I feel it’s just 60-65 meters and with the pace of the ball I just try and time it, take it on the sweet spot of the bat and if it hits, it just goes out there,” he added.

Stern Test for India

The Men in Blue would be well aware of the fact that England would be well prepared for all the challenges. It won’t be wrong to say that England has a 3-dimensional bowling attack as whacking the bowlers around the park won’t be easy. We can expect a riveting contest as both teams are evenly matched.

England knows quite well that their prowess is bowling as the batting lineup is dependent on Buttler and Hales. There are chances that Moeen Ali may be promoted up the order to up the ante. The injury concern of Dawid Malan leaves a massive hole in the batting department as he is someone who can hold one end and play long innings.
