At home, this is a must-win game for the African nation to level the series. Both teams are now out of the reckoning for direct qualification and will need to play the qualifiers.

The ODI World Cup will be a 13-team tournament with the top 8 teams will earning a direct qualification. Along with Zimbabwe and Netherlands, South Africa, West Indies and Sri Lanka are also in contention to play the qualifiers. South Africa needs to win the ongoing ODI series against West Indies followed by the upcoming one against the Netherlands to qualify directly for the World Cup.
