India National Cricket Team batting maestro Virat Kohli was ecstatic after the star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja dispatched a short-of-a-length delivery for a four with his excellent shot against Sri Lanka.
India National Cricket Team and Sri Lanka National Cricket Team are taking on each other in the 33rd match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, November 2.
Jadeja once again showed his batting prowess in the match against the Kusal Mendis-led side as he chipped in with crucial runs from the lower order that helped the Men In Blue post a gigantic total on the board.
Jadeja smashed a brilliant 35 runs off 24 balls, 1 four and 1 six, in the match before getting dismissed on the last ball of the innings.
The one four hit by Jadeja left Virat Kohli extremely impressed as he looked ecstatic after the boundary and gave an epic reaction.
On the first ball of the 49th over, Dushmantha Chameera bowled a short of a length delivery and Jadeja was prepared to hit a boundary. He came across the stumps and scooped the ball over a short fine leg for a four, leaving the bowler stunned.

In the end, the India National Cricket Team posted a massive total of 357/8 on the board, which was the highest team score without an individual ton in the history of the World Cup.
During the mid-innings break, the middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer said that the surface was a good one to bat on. He said:
“I think it was a pretty good wicket to bat, the ball was coming on and there was some nice bounce. I could settle for a while and then play my shots.
Shreyas Iyer added that the partnership between Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill after the early dismissal of Rohit Sharma was magnificent to watch.
“It was magnificent to watch (on the partnership between Gill and Kohli), the way they took the singles, twos and the boundaries, they laid the platform for us. We were told that the odd ball was stopping and holding a bit, so it was a good partnership that they had and it helped us later on.”
