Virat Kohli was in a joyous mood in the match 33rd of the ICC World Cup 2023. The match between India and Sri Lanka took place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Men in Blue played a dominating brand of cricket and won the game by a margin of 302 runs.

Virat Kohli played an instrumental role in India’s 302-run win against Sri Lanka. While his class with the bat was unmatchable, the right-hander was in a jubilant mood while fielding. He was amazed by the way Indian bowlers bowled and even urged the crowd to back the bowlers.

But the best moment of the match came when he entertained the crowd as well. Virat Kohli was seen shaking his leg on the famous Bollywood song ‘My Name Is Lakhan’. As he danced to the tunes, the crowd went berserk and cheered loudly for him.

    Here’s the video:

Virat Kohli had a staggering outing with the bat. The right-hander batted magnificently well and played another magical knock in the ODIs. He scored 88 runs and helped his team post a total of 357 runs on the board. His knock came at a crucial juncture as the team lost skipper Rohit Sharma (4) early.

Indian bowlers rattled out Sri Lanka batters for just 55 runs and won the game by a margin of 302 runs. It was their 7th consecutive win of the tournament.

IND vs SL: Shreyas Iyer lauds Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill for their partnership

Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill added 189 runs for the partnership and set the platform for the others. Their solid stand at the end allowed Shreyas Iyer (82) to capitalize and end the innings on high. Speaking during the mid-innings break, he explained:

“I think it was a pretty good wicket to bat, the ball was coming on and there was some nice bounce. I could settle for a while and then play my shots. It was magnificent to watch (on the partnership between Gill and Kohli), the way they took the singles, twos and the boundaries, they laid the platform for us. We were told that the odd ball was stopping and holding a bit, so it was a good partnership that they had and it helped us later on.”

India will be next seen in action when they will take on South Africa on 5th November in Kolkata.
