After the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023, India will tour South Africa in December. During the IND vs SA campaign, a Test, ODI, and T20I series will take place. The India tour of South Africa 2023 will witness 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs, and 2 Tests.

The two-match Test series will be played at the end. India will send a strong squad for the Test series against South Africa. He was part of the Bengal team that ended as runners-up. The right-handed batsman has been part of some series in the past but is yet to make his international debut.

4. Sarfaraz Khan

When Sarfaraz Khan slammed 3 centuries in the Ranji Trophy season, many fans voiced their support for his inclusion into the Test side. Now, the right-handed batsman can get a chance during the South Africa tour.

Playing for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy 2022-23, Sarfaraz Khan shattered 556 runs in 9 innings with 3 centuries. He held a marvelous average of 92+. He is a wicketkeeper batter.

3. Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been a consistent performer for India in domestic cricket. Last month, he led the team India to the Asian Games 2023 title. Gaikwad has played some ODIs and T20Is for India but not in Tests.

He was part of the West Indies series in July but did not make his debut. This time, he can be picked in the squad for the South Africa tour and make his Test debut.

2. Akash Deep

Akash Deep was another impressive performer in Ranji Trophy 2023. The right-arm pacer plays for Bengal in the domestic circuit. In Ranji Trophy, he picked 41 wickets in 10 games at an average of 20.90. He was the highest wicket-taker for Bengal.

After his brilliant show, he might be picked for the South Africa tour. His teammate Mukesh Kumar made his international debut during the West Indies tour. Akash Deep was picked in the squad in some series but has failed to make to debut so far.

The right-arm pacer had a wonderful Ranji Trophy season, picking 38 scalps in 8 games for his team Madhya Pradesh. He is also likely to get a chance to play in the South Africa Test series.
